Job Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports related to grant activity and ensure timely submission of required funding documentation.
- Monitor grant budgets and review expenditures to ensure spending aligns with approved funding requirements.
- Perform account reconciliations and review general ledger activity to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to information requests.
- Assist with grant setup, cash management, reporting, and closeout activities throughout the funding lifecycle.
Requirements
- 2+ years of accounting, finance, or grant administration experience.
- Previous experience with nonprofit accounting and grant funded programs.
- Knowledge of grant compliance, financial reporting, budget monitoring, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functions and reporting tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with government funded grants and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with nonprofit accounting systems, including Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of federal grant requirements, cost allocation methods, audit support activities, and grant closeout processes.
