Primary Job Functions
- Aid in the preparation and reconciliation of the general ledger and related books of entry for AltaPointe Health Systems, Inc. and its controlled entities.
- Create and maintain work sheets and lead schedules supporting entries to ledgers and journals.
- Develop and execute journal entries to ensure accurate reflection of transactions in the original books of entry.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Use Premier for AHS accounts and Fixed Asset CS software for fixed asset management.
- Review invoices for proper coding and propose journal entries for depreciation expense.
- Verify the validity of invoices before cash disbursement and review checks for appropriate coding.
- Upload and post invoices to appropriate distribution accounts as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of 310 Board checks and deposits, and prepare Census reports for HUD.
- Support grant draw downs and payment distributions, and prepare quarterly and annual reports to the Division of Payment Management.

- Seek supervision and consultation as needed and accept and implement suggestions for improvement.

Administrative and Other Related Duties
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities and attend AHS committees as requested.
- Complete assigned tasks promptly and follow AHS policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries about billing matters in a courteous and timely manner.
- Contribute to financial analysis and assist in performing duties of other staff during absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; two years of accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows applications.
