Build things that matter. We're hiring a US Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for our US entity as we build a public-company-ready finance function. You'll run the US close, keep the books audit-ready under US GAAP, and help put the controls and reporting in place that an IPO requires. Responsibilities Run the monthly and quarterly close for the US entity: journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliationsAccount for SaaS subscription revenue under ASC 606, including deferred revenue and contract review with the revenue teamManage intercompany transactions and reconciliations with our Belgian parent, and support US GAAP to IFRS reporting for group consolidationOwn US payables and receivables processes, vendor setup, 1099 reporting and sales tax filings, working with outside advisorsDocument processes and run internal controls as we build toward SOX compliancePrepare schedules and answer requests for the annual audit and quarterly reviewsHelp roll out our new ERP and automate manual steps in the closeSupport FP&A with clean actuals and variance explanations Job Requirements What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2–5 years of accounting experience, split across Big 4 audit and/or in-house rolesPublic company experience: SEC registrant in-house, or auditing SEC registrantsExperience in tech or SaaS, including subscription revenue under ASC 606Solid US GAAP knowledge and hands-on month-end close experienceWorking knowledge of SOX controls and documentationStrong Excel skills and comfort working in an ERPClear written communication; you'll work daily with a team in Belgium Bonus If You Have CPA, or working toward itIPO readiness or first-year SOX experienceMulti-entity accounting with a foreign parent, intercompany and FXExposure to IFRSERP implementation experience (e.g. NetSuite) and billing tools such as StripeCybersecurity or developer-tools industry background What You Can Expect Build the US accounting function early, with real ownership from day oneGet hands-on IPO readiness work: SOX, audit, ERP and technical accountingSmall, senior finance team where your work reaches the CFO directlyFast-growing security company with teams in Belgium and the USShort decision lines.
