Responsibilities
- Reconcile and review general ledger accounts and verify their accuracy.
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, schedules, and accounting reports.
- Assist with accounting-related issues and transactions requiring additional research and analysis.
- Research and respond to inquiries from federal and state examiners, as well as internal and external auditors.
- Evaluate procedures and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiency.
- Assume additional responsibilities and projects as delegated by the Accounting Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent practical work experience in the accounting field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience with knowledge of financial services, electronic accounting systems, and practical accounting processes.
- Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy and strong data entry skills.
Compensation
$25–$30/hr
