Accountant (AR Focused)

About the role

The IDRE Accountant processes stakeholder deposits and executes cash application on assigned accounts within defined SLAs. This role involves owning assigned refund processing, remittance issuance, deposit processing, or other related IDRE Finance workflows end-to-end. Duties also include documenting and resolving payment corrections accurately and within timeline, responding to routine payment inquiries from insurance payers and noninsurance payers, and maintaining audit-ready records for all assigned payment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Process stakeholder deposits and execute cash application on assigned accounts within defined SLAs
• Own assigned refund processing, remittance issuance, deposit processing, or other related IDRE Finance workflows end-to-end
• Document and resolve payment corrections accurately and within timeline
• Respond to routine payment inquiries from insurance payers and noninsurance payers
• Maintain audit-ready records for all assigned payment workflows

Requirements

• 1 to 6 years of accounting, finance operations, or payment processing experience
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under volume and time pressure
• Background in high-volume cash operations—AR, cash application, payment processing, or similar
• Experience in healthcare, payment processing, or CMS-regulated environment a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent experience considered
• CPA not required or expected
