Essential Functions
- Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of certain ledger accounts relating to Accounts Receivable.
- Reconcile cash, chargeback, and receivable accounts, including research and follow-up of outstanding items.
- Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Oversee and approve certain journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and validating those transactions with bank reporting.
- Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Additional Duties
- Aid in various month-end close tasks.
- Support, guide, and assist the Accounts Receivable team.
- Provide support for audit requests related to SOX requirements.
- Prepare and balance Retail SOX controls.
- May be required to receive and post customer payments on a timely basis.
- Maintain and balance large volumes of data from disparate data sources and output results into meaningful and actionable intelligence.
- May be required to troubleshoot data issues and propose corrections to leadership.
- Prepare and settle daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations with Licensee locations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Specialized Knowledge: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel. Understanding of accounting software is a plus. Experience with customer account databases is a plus.
