About the role

We're partnering with an innovative organization operating across technology, consumer products, digital content, and global distribution to identify an Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their accounting knowledge while supporting a complex, multi-entity environment with both domestic and international operations.

This is a 100% remote role—work from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Preparing journal entries and supporting the month-end close process.
• Performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Supporting general ledger accounting activities across multiple entities.
• Reconciling intercompany receivable and payable accounts while partnering with domestic and international affiliates to resolve differences.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Participating in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Supporting special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Approximately 2–4 years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience, including:
  • Journal entries
  • General ledger accounting
  • Account reconciliations
  • Month-end close
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters, and formulas.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fully remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with any of the following would be a plus:
  • NetSuite
  • Microsoft Dynamics Navision
  • Sage Fixed Assets
  • IBM i / AS400
  • Multi-entity and/or multi-jurisdiction accounting
  • CPA or actively pursuing a CPA
  • SQL experience
