About the role

As an Area Supervisor, Mileage Sales, Lease, & Service, you will be responsible for the profitable management and effective execution of Mileage agreements with major commercial fleets. This role operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, including exposure to heat and cold. You will ensure the safety of tires on city buses, directly impacting public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and supervise personnel
• Develop and maintain customer relationships, including prospecting and account management
• Ensure delivery on customer and contract requirements, including accounts receivable
• Perform hands-on tire service: mounting, dismounting, regrooving heavy-duty bus tires (by hand and machine), balancing, and flat repairs
• Conduct vehicle inspections, inflation maintenance, and record keeping
• Assist with hiring and training
• Observe and comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting (e.g., commercial tires and wheels), standing, bending, and squatting

Requirements

• Ability to manage and direct associates
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle required; must meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• Overnight travel up to 80% (company vehicle provided)
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including nights and weekends
• At least 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• No relocation offered for this position

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience calling on prospective customers
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
• Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced team environment
• Self-starter able to work without direct supervision and willing to attend training sessions
