About the role

This is a fully remote, work-from-home position. Some travel may be required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and other events.

As an Account Specialist, you will provide white glove service to diverse brands investing in influencer marketing campaigns. This role focuses on campaign execution—driving influencer recruitment, managing influencer partnerships, and owning campaign deliverables, tracking, and reporting. You will also analyze campaign performance, identify success and challenge areas, and proactively implement strategic measures to optimize programs toward goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate has strong experience developing and managing KPI-driven influencer marketing campaigns for consumer products and/or services companies. They understand the broader partner marketing landscape, including affiliate, and can both develop comprehensive strategy and execute capably. You are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, balances competing priorities, and operates successfully in an “intrapreneurial” setting. You build strong peer relationships, lead through influence, and collaborate closely with managers and peers to maximize program effectiveness and drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Influencer Recruitment, Negotiating & Onboarding
    • Sources new partnership opportunities and creates influencer casting lists.
    • Vets opportunities for brand alignment, authenticity, and relevancy before presenting to clients for approval.
    • Conducts outreach to approved partners and secures their engagement, negotiating when necessary.
    • Supports influencers through campaign onboarding by developing and providing resources to streamline processes.
  • Influencer Partnerships Management
    • Crafts program-wide influencer communications and creator resources.
    • Guides influencers on content strategy and creation, develops content timelines, and ensures adherence to schedules.
    • Collects content drafts and leads content review, including FTC guideline screening.
    • Works with influencers to adjust content strategy as needed and troubleshoots poor performance to optimize campaigns.
  • Auditing, Reporting & Analysis
    • Ensures content compliance with FTC regulations and brand guidelines.
    • Tracks content accurately and regularly shares performance insights, partner insights, and campaign pace with clients.
    • Performs robust analysis using social analytics and conversion metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Provides data-backed, actionable recommendations to clients and refines strategy to drive growth at scale.
    • Supports creation of customized strategy plans, detailed performance summaries, and comprehensive hindsight presentations for clients.
  • Client Service & Communication
    • Delivers superior client service and escalates issues or risks as appropriate.
    • Ensures client trust by delivering outputs and communications in the AP way, maintaining quality, accuracy, and precision.
    • Develops and nurtures strong client relationships, supports team in achieving high satisfaction and retention, and maintains an average client rating of 8.5.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Owns and manages client tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and work is accurate.
    • Manages multiple campaigns with strong organizational skills and prioritization based on client objectives.
    • Flags potential delays and keeps the team informed.
    • Understands each client’s scope of work and delivers deliverables on time.
    • Identifies new opportunities to drive client success and potential goal misalignments, diagnosing root causes and working with the team to resolve them.

What Success Looks Like

  • By 3 Months:
    • Contributing across a portfolio of influencer programs with close team alignment.
    • Working with key client contacts to ensure brand alignment in recruitment and content creation.
    • Becoming familiar with AP’s tools and solutions to conduct casting, execute content timelines, audit content, and track performance.
  • By 6 Months:
    • Owning day-to-day operations of multiple influencer programs with minimal guidance, including reporting, application processing, recruiting, casting, and partner communications.
    • Managing challenging client or team situations with guidance from managers and directors, using a solutions-oriented approach.
    • Regularly analyzing client data and leveraging insights to optimize campaigns.
    • Handling client accounts effectively and strategically, maintaining client satisfaction and an average 8.5 rating.
    • Presenting new campaign ideas to managers and demonstrating clear understanding of program performance.
  • By 1 Year:
    • Troubleshooting and resolving account and creator issues independently, providing insights and actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams.
    • Becoming an integral part of each program, developing new ideas and improving processes to create efficiencies.
    • Taking on new account responsibilities with manager support and serving as a thought leader within the team, contributing to relationship-building and firm development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years at an influencer marketing agency with experience executing influencer campaigns and managing client and influencer relationships.
  • Solid understanding of omni-channel and digital marketing with a track record of successfully running influencer campaigns for consumer products and/or services companies.
  • Excellent at communicating, presenting, and securing client approval on new campaign strategies and initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of attribution in digital marketing.
  • Understanding of how influencer and affiliate marketing can work together.
  • Experience with tools such as CreatorIQ, Grin, or Izea is preferred (not required).
  • Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms such as Impact, ShareASale, or Commission Junction is preferred (not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities: formatting, formulas, customizing reports, etc.
  • Genuine interest in AI tools, including hands-on experience integrating AI into work and a desire to continuously improve.

Target salary: $55,000 – $60,000 depending on location and experience. Benefits may vary based on employment status or country location.
