Account Representative - Green Bay
About the role
Viking Electric is a leading electrical distributor serving contractors across the Midwest. This position is available in Green Bay, WI.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and proactively follow up on quotes and sales opportunities to secure orders.
- Negotiate job pricing with vendors to close opportunities.
- Solicit new business from assigned accounts and promote Viking Electric’s services, solutions, and product offerings.
- Collaborate with Field Account Managers and Key Account Managers to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, share customer information, and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Support other sales associates to foster a cooperative team approach to customer service.
- Maximize sales and profitability by understanding the marketplace and competition.
- Maintain an electronic file system for all customer-related information and past conversations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new technologies.
- An attention to detail and developed organizational skills.
- A willingness to learn about Viking Electric’s products through on-the-job training.
Preferred, but not required
- Minimum 1 year counter sales or equivalent experience with electrical products.
