Account Representative
About the role
The Tokai Rika Group is seeking an Account Representative for their Toyota team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and commercial abilities, including planning, coordination, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Represent Tokai Rika commercially with Customers, aligning with sales goals set by Tokai Rika
- Resolve all sales-related, commercial, and financial discrepancies
- Negotiate piece prices, tooling, obsolescence, design changes, etc., on behalf of Tokai Rika
- Build and maintain relationships within the Customer's organization at multiple levels
- Communicate Customer expectations to Tokai Rika
- Receive and distribute RFQs, price targets, APR expectations, and competitor information
- Understand and review Customer terms and conditions
- Develop a Customer Sales Strategy with significant guidance from Tokai Rika
- Stay informed about current market trends and their impact on Customer expectations
- Work to improve profits and reduce costs or losses for Tokai Rika
- Adhere to corporate profit targets and understand the company's cost structure
- Negotiate costs internally to meet Customer price targets
- Maintain and report on Customer and commodity annual profitability targets
- Support and follow established processes, procedures, and policies at Tokai Rika
- Follow, mentor, and train on IATF and ISO procedures
- Support TRAM's Quality and Environmental Policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel ability
- Ability to interact positively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive parts sales and customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Ford, and GM brands is beneficial
