About the role
As an Account Representative, you will enter a two-year training program to gain sales experience, product knowledge, and further develop skills needed to become a sales representative.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers in a designated territory to understand their business needs and identify areas of opportunity. Treat both customers and associates with respect.
- Cold Calling & Prospecting: Effectively cold call on potential customers in the territory to grow a book of business, focusing on continuous new business development.
- Planning & Priority Setting: Efficiently plan your week in advance to prioritize customer stops and territory growth, using a bottom-up approach.
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate products to potential customers to showcase their value and quality, emphasizing the company’s investment in American-made products (80% of spend).
- Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales quotas by following the company’s proven sales programs and processes learned in training workshops. Contribute to the company’s goal of doubling sales every five years.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities by inputting information into company systems. Provide cost-savings reports to customers based on field support and service.
Requirements
- Ability to travel to customer locations, company meetings, and other sites within the assigned geographic area while maintaining required insurance coverage minimums.
- Use of a personal electronic device compliant with the company’s Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) policy.
- Execution of an Employment Agreement and/or revised exhibits, reviewed prior to signing.
Pay
1st year compensation ranges from $42,400–$47,400, including salary and bonus structure. Mileage and cell phone reimbursement provided.
