About the role
We are seeking an Account Manager-SMB to drive business objectives within defined commercial accounts in Illinois, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Missouri. This role involves managing the sales cycle, building relationships, and executing innovative strategies.
Responsibilities
- Drive results by finding and building opportunities within commercial accounts
- Utilize complex sales skills to guide prospects/clients through purchasing decisions of Thomson Reuters products and services
- Manage the sales cycle from identifying prospects to closing deals
- Execute OneSource sales methodology
- Manage customer relationships post-sale for upselling
- Maintain regular communication with management and update CRM systems
- Meet/exceed quarterly and annual quota targets
- Provide territory market and competitive information to Thomson Reuters for business decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
- 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales, closing complex software and services sales
- Experience selling consulting/professional services engagements, balancing new business prospecting, account growth, and upselling
- Track record of achieving sustained and significant quota achievement
- Strong executive presence and C-suite engagement skills
- Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations
- Experience developing accurate sales forecasts and reports
- Proven ability to execute innovative sales strategies and lead complex negotiations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership skills
- Proficiency with core sales and business tools, including SFDC, email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and expense/travel management systems
Qualifications
- Passion for a career in sales
- Proven track record in consultative sales, closing complex software and services sales
- Knowledge in accounting/tax acumen is a plus

Pay
The target total cash compensation range for this role is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
