About the role

Responsible for successfully securing and maintaining service accounts and repair work and developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers so that the branch meets annual revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed sales goals and quotas by utilizing company tools for service and repair growth and cancellation reduction.
  • Manage service accounts by visiting Tier 1, 2, and 3 customers within assigned territory to develop ongoing relationships, understand their needs, and build rapport. Includes engaging with BOMA and other associated groups.
  • Develop capital plans for customers to address their short- and long-term building needs.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products by attending training classes, studying factory equipment manuals, and reviewing supplier information. Includes understanding local elevator code requirements.
  • Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labor and other job costs using estimating software. For items not in the program, obtain price estimates from suppliers and manually calculate. Includes reviewing blueprints, surveying equipment, and interfacing with operations personnel for input and approvals.
  • Prepare service contract bids, including reviewing blueprints, surveying equipment, and collaborating with operations personnel for input and approvals.
  • Respond to written and oral questions related to quoted repairs and service contracts, including follow-up with customers on all proposals.
  • Monitor the status of current service contracts by visiting job sites and customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Contact service customers regarding contract renewal prior to expiration and advise of price increases if appropriate.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of H-Power features, determine customer needs, and develop sales strategies for H-Power modernization offerings.
  • Utilize the Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool to update and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Assist in accounts receivable collection efforts to ensure prompt payment from customers.
  • Conduct follow-up on all proposals and, upon acceptance, coordinate submittal packages through the approval process and create change orders as requested.
  • Visit project sites as needed and collaborate with the operations department to ensure customer needs and deadlines are met.
  • Partner with the operations team to negotiate the Scope of Work (SOW) and collaborate with contract administrators, sales support, and legal as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-2 years of related sales experience; elevator sales or industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints/drawings preferred.
  • Experience selling service/repair, construction, and modernization in the elevator industry strongly preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $62,500–$100,000. Includes a car allowance, fuel card, and monthly commission program.
