Essential Duties

  • Market and place both new and renewal business with insurance carriers.
  • Partner with Producers to retain and grow the book of business, identify coverage gaps, and uncover cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage the renewal process, including preparing submissions, obtaining carrier quotes, reviewing coverage options, and binding coverage.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to service requests and providing timely, professional communication.
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, premium-bearing transactions, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and non-renewals.
  • Coincide with carriers and clients to resolve underwriting, billing, and coverage-related matters.
  • Issue certificates, obtain loss runs, order MVRs, and collect required documentation to support underwriting and policy servicing.
  • Review policies, endorsements, and carrier documents for accuracy and ensure all requested changes are properly completed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documentation, and file management within the agency management system.
  • Support invoicing, billing, collections, and account maintenance activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, carriers, Producers, and internal team members to provide exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Personal Lines Account Manager experience in an independent insurance agency (required).
  • Active Property & Casualty License.
  • Experience with insurance agency management systems; Applied Epic experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Personal Lines insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and carrier relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to building strong client and carrier relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.
