The Opportunity
The Account Manager II manages a more complex or specialized book of insurance business, providing professional, courteous service to clients, carriers, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. They may work independently, as part of a team, or with a Producer to manage client needs, advocate for clients, write new accounts or lines of coverage, and manage client relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Service day-to-day client needs, including handling phone calls, emails, and communications related to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.
- Manage the renewal process, including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation to the Producer and client, and invoicing.
- Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in the quote proposal.
- Manage and delegate tasks to Associate Account Managers I and II to ensure workload is appropriate.
- Maintain relationships with underwriters to achieve positive results for clients and negotiate coverage with underwriters.
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of proposals, binding of coverage, review of policies for accuracy, and creation of client policy summaries and binders.
- Set up and maintain electronic records.
- Follow best practices and internal broker standards for service and maintenance of client files and information.
- Collaborate with team members to share and educate on coverage, exposures, and client knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent P & C Insurance Producer License
- Four or more years insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in account management role (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization (preferred)
