Why This Role Matters

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-focused sales professional to support our Corporate, Entertainment, Media, and Sports segments within the Global Sales team. As Account Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping our sales operations running smoothly while helping deliver exceptional service to our member hotels and valued clients. Your work will enable the team to build strong client relationships, drive revenue opportunities, and ensure a best-in-class experience across every touchpoint. Success in this role comes from building trusted relationships, maintaining exceptional attention to detail, and ensuring the seamless execution of sales initiatives, programs, and client activities. You'll be a proactive partner to the Global Sales team, helping to drive engagement with key accounts, maintain accurate data and reporting, and support revenue-generating opportunities for our member hotels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales and administrative support to the Global Sales team to assist in generating revenues from the managed and prospect account base across corporate, entertainment, media, and sports market segments consistent with company goals for the region. This includes pulling CRM reports, managing client lists, and updating client information in CRM and PreferredNet.
  • Assist the Global Sales team in responding to member hotel and client questions/requests in a timely and thorough manner, providing exceptional customer service over telephone, email, and in person.
  • Provide support and assistance with key regional and national tradeshows, client events, meetings, sales appointments, and road shows, including but not limited to setting up sales appointments, ordering and preparing sales collateral, arranging outside catering, and coordinating transportation details (for airline, hotel, and/or car rental reservations).
  • Serve as key contact with the Events Team regarding the Global Sales Entertainment Client Events.
  • Manage the Entertainment Rate Programs and CATCH RFP Program along with the Senior Director, Global Sales. Work closely with the Consortia Sales team to launch the RFPs.
  • Update and regularly maintain all relevant documents, systems, and brochures using programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Work with the Global Sales team to maintain an updated client database for communication distribution or event invitations.
  • Provide monthly production reports for corporate entertainment account performance, group sales performance, and entertainment programs.
  • Assist with ad hoc IATA production or other applicable Global Sales reports upon request.
  • Assist with entertainment booking requests and reservations in the SynXis Voice Agent tool.
  • Complete rate audits a minimum of three times a year on entertainment rate programs.
  • Manage and complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Global Sales, Senior Vice President Global, and Senior Vice President Group Sales.
  • Act as Global Sales representative for internal task force projects/initiatives, including but not limited to Agency 360, PreferredNet, and CRM.
  • Distribute group leads to member hotels and manage group lead profiles in accordance with established SOPs. Responsibilities include qualifying leads, updating databases (including CRM) with distribution details, following up with member hotels within 48 hours of non-response, and assisting with report generation as needed.
  • Send group confirmation forms, collect post-group production and pick-up data from member hotels, and follow up on outstanding documents for confirmed groups.
  • Present a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Preferred Hotels & Resorts culture to customers and co-workers.
  • Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude across all departments and maintain open communication with all co-workers for optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Completion of a university or college degree and/or relevant experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong discipline, structure, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international geography, cultures, and hotels.
  • Perseverance, ability to prioritize and multitask in high-volume environments, and sound judgment when handling sensitive/confidential client and business information.
  • Previous sales administration experience within luxury hotels is highly desirable.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Schedule

With our in-office philosophy, associates are expected to be in the office at least three days per week, supporting a healthy balance between in-person collaboration and flexible remote work. While the current expectation is a minimum of three days per week in the office, this may evolve over time in alignment with business needs and our continued commitment to culture-building.

Pay

$55,000 - $60,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
