The Opportunity
The Account Manager manages a book of insurance business, providing professional, courteous service to clients, carriers, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. They manage client relationships, renewals, and proposals, and collaborate with team members to share and educate on coverage and exposures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Service day-to-day client needs, including handling calls, emails, and communications related to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.
- Manage the renewal process, including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation to the Producer and client, and invoicing.
- Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included.
- Ensure client satisfaction and manage workload among Associate Account Managers I and II.
- Negotiate coverage with underwriters and ensure proposal completion and accuracy.
- Set up and maintain electronic records using best practices and internal broker standards.
- Train and collaborate with team members to share coverage, exposures, and client knowledge.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- P & C Insurance Producer License
- Two or more years insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in account management role (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization
- Applied EPIC Agency Management System experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions And Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, fingers, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision on a computer monitor.
