Account Manager
Job Description
Select’s Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining executive level relationships with our customers. Strong prospect and customer relationships will be necessary within operations management and supply chain, both at the corporate and regional levels. In addition to selling to prospects, this position will also have responsibility for relationship management and up-selling once the prospect becomes a customer.
To effectively communicate how Select’s value proposition fulfills the customer’s needs, the Account Manager will provide proactive account management, establish and maintain high-level customer satisfaction, increase revenue and profitability by executing sound sales plans, conduct maintenance calls to improve service and profitability, acquire in-depth industry and company knowledge to prepare complex new business proposals and make service recommendations, and support region/business line goals as a subject matter expert and deliver an account strategy for each account.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of related working experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent working experience is required.
- Strong relationships with supply chain and operations leadership within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Ability to work across multiple decision makers at both the corporate and field levels.
- Track record of successfully articulating how a value proposition fulfills the customer’s needs.
- Ability to close deals with a long sales cycle.
- Competent contract negotiator and contract manager.
- Ability to work in a team environment, gain business, and grow revenue base.
Physical Demands and Exposures
- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment.
- Traditional Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, unless operations dictate otherwise.
- Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
