Account Manager Accelerated Sales Program

About the role
The Accelerated Sales Program is a comprehensive, sales-specific training initiative designed to fast-track the growth of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers. Over 6–12 months, participants collaborate with White Cap sales leaders to develop essential skills, customer and supplier relationships, and industry knowledge for success in outside sales.
Responsibilities
- Participate in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
- Prepare and execute account plans.
- Sell White Cap’s value proposition and products.
- Learn effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
- Enter and process customer orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires consistent operation of a company or personal vehicle (over 80% of the workweek). A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be reviewed, and an acceptable report is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field or 1–2 years of sales or related experience.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with team members.
- Self-governance, proactivity, personal accountability, and independence.
- Competitive drive and goal-oriented mindset with accountability for metrics.
- Openness to feedback and willingness to improve performance.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities.
- Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
Pay
Targeted base salary: $37,000 per year. Eligible for additional variable compensation with a starting target of $80,000 annually. Total compensation range: $50,000–$80,000, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market data.
