Job Summary
The Account Executive will drive new business development and serve as a strategic point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing clients.
Position Responsibilities
- Business Development (70%): Identify, prioritize, and strategically target Travel & Tourism organizations for enterprise outreach; generate new business through proactive prospecting, industry networking, digital outreach, and participation in trade events; lead consultative sales cycles from qualification through negotiation and contract execution; develop a deep understanding of client business models, digital maturity, and international growth strategies; position TransPerfect’s AI-enabled content, technology, and global solutions within broader digital transformation and operational initiatives; collaborate with Sales Leadership to structure and close complex, multi-service enterprise agreements.
- Account Growth & Client Management (30%): Serve as a strategic partner for assigned clients, aligning solutions with evolving business objectives; identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across AI-enabled workflows, technology platforms, and global services; partner closely with Production and Technology teams to ensure seamless execution and high client satisfaction; manage pricing strategy, contractual discussions, and revenue forecasting with Accounting teams; monitor account performance and proactively identify expansion opportunities.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
- Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term professional relationships
- Strong commercial acumen with a high sense of ownership and accountability
- Solid analytical skills, including revenue forecasting, margin assessment, and budget management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using CRM and sales intelligence platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, or similar tools)
- Able to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Desired Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of additional languages at professional working proficiency (Catalan would be a big plus)
- Experience in Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Account Management
- Exposure to the Travel & Tourism industry (airlines, hospitality, cruise, travel tech, agencies, etc.)
- Familiarity with digital ecosystems, CMS platforms, eCommerce environments, or AI-enabled solutions
