Your Impact
The Account Executive will play a crucial role in driving significant revenue growth for Splunk Commercial accounts. You will establish a strategic vision and plan for pipeline generation, consistently meet license, support, and service revenue targets, and directly impact customer experience. This role offers a dynamic environment where hardworking, driven sales professionals can contribute from day one while accessing opportunities for continuous learning and growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and expand a geo-based territory by engaging both existing customers and new prospects to contribute directly to the organization's financial goals.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop compelling enterprise solutions that articulate clear value and return on investment across multiple decision-makers, enhancing cross-team alignment and customer success.
- Influence the customer experience by enabling high transactional velocity and delivering impactful sales outcomes that support the company's mission to empower technology adoption.
- Territory Travel: Remote representatives travel 1–2 times per quarter (or more, as needed); in-territory representatives travel weekly.
- Seize unique opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth within a supportive environment that values innovation and individual contribution from day one.
- Define success by consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, fostering strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall market presence and revenue share of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of SaaS sales experience, which includes experience in a discrete quota carrying role, or similar role
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of how Splunk products and services address customer challenges.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Expertise in consultative and solution selling methodologies, including MEDDPICC and Value Selling.
- Strong skills in territory planning, forecasting, and managing a full sales cycle.
- Excellent critical judgment to analyze complex situations, assess risks, and develop creative solutions.
- Relevant experience in software industry domains such as IT systems, enterprise management, DevOps, security, business applications, or analytics.

Pay & Benefits
- Salary range: $152,000.00 to $209,000.00 (projected for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits). Individual pay determined by hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
- New York City Metro Area range: $172,000.00 - $258,000.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State range: $172,000.00 - $258,000.00

- Equity: Employees may be eligible for grants of Cisco restricted stock units, vesting following continued employment for defined periods.
- Paid time away (U.S. employees): 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees; 1 paid day off for employee's birthday; paid year-end holiday shutdown; 4 paid days off for personal wellness.
- Non-exempt employees: 16 days of paid vacation per full calendar year, accrued at 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees.
- Exempt employees: flexible vacation time off program with no defined limit (subject to availability and business limitations).
- 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter; up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward annually.
- Additional paid time away may be requested for critical or emergency family issues.
- Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
- Incentive Pay (Sales Plans): Performance-based incentive pay on top of base salary, split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay: 0.75% of incentive target per 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% per 1% between 50% and 75%; 1% per 1% between 75% and 100%; above 100% attainment, incentive rates at or above 1% per 1% with no cap. For non-quota elements (e.g., strategic sales objectives), 0% up to 125% of target. No minimum performance threshold for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
