Account Executive - SaaS Sales

Responsibilities

  • Own a defined territory and manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through close while growing existing customer relationships.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close net-new business opportunities.
  • Grow existing accounts through upsell, cross-sell, renewals, and services.
  • Build executive relationships across Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Conduct consultative discovery to uncover operational challenges and business objectives.
  • Present compelling business cases focused on ROI and measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM data.
  • Develop territory and account plans that drive Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth.
  • Represent Minitab at customer meetings, industry events, webinars, and conferences.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of successful B2B software sales, SaaS sales, or enterprise application software sales.
  • Proven history of achieving or exceeding quota.
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, qualification, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Experience managing opportunities of $25K+ ACV.
  • Experience selling subscription-based software and recurring revenue solutions.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar).
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 20–35%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience considered.

  • Experience selling one or more of the following: Manufacturing Software, Industrial Software, Quality Management Software (QMS), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Industrial Analytics, Business Intelligence, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), Digital Manufacturing, Engineering Software.
  • Experience selling to: Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Managers, Continuous Improvement Leaders, Engineering Directors, VP Operations, IT Leaders.

Pay

Base salary: $85k

Schedule

This role is eligible for a 50/50 commission plan based on meeting performance targets with uncapped earning potential.
