About the Role
This position focuses on selling and providing advertising and marketing services to new and existing accounts through various channels, including in-person meetings, mail, and telephone. You will prepare advertising materials for production and generate revenue from multiple sources such as Run of Paper (ROP) advertising, digital advertising, preprints, we-prints, cross-selling, events, and special sections.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue from company products to meet or exceed departmental goals.
- Sell and service existing accounts while prospecting for new accounts through cold-calling, telemarketing, and promotions.
- Assist customers in developing advertising plans, including graphics and layout ideas.
- Meet deadlines for advertising copy and collaborate with colleagues across departments to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain current and complete information on accounts.
- Ensure all advertising complies with WCI’s rates, contracts, policies, and legal standards.
- Follow established credit policies and assist with counter and telephone customers as needed.
- Support territory coverage and research/development of special sections and promotions.
- Utilize company marketing tools to generate revenue and prepare customer presentations.
- Suggest and implement improvements for departmental efficiency and operations.
- Maintain a "customer-first" environment with proactive internal and external service.
- Actively participate in the Great Game of Business and company training programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge
- College degree or equivalent successful career track with at least one year of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, or business.
