As an Account Executive (AE), you will manage relationships with clients, ensuring they receive excellent service to drive account growth, retention, and satisfaction. This role bridges Cross Country Locums (CCL) and its customers, focusing on maximizing sales productivity and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively initiate contact with healthcare facilities for locum tenens business opportunities through cold calling, handling incoming calls, searching job boards, mailing inquiries, referrals, posting on job boards, candidate submission, attending conventions, and following up on all leads.
  • Drive significant revenue through strategic account growth, upselling, and cross-selling additional business opportunities after securing Locum Tenens Agreements.
  • Manage client referrals for potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain optimal communication with sales, recruiting, credentialing, payroll, accounting, and other operational teams to facilitate placements and ensure client needs are handled efficiently.
  • Reverse market healthcare providers to private-sector clients.
  • Conduct intake calls with clients using Company-approved technology to gather all necessary information on positions.
  • Ensure accurate entry of position/match schedules in the database and guarantee HCP timesheets are approved, submitted, and paid.
  • Follow database protocols for client information and document client needs in eRecruit.
  • Communicate client openings to recruiting teams via job postings and review candidate files to ensure appropriate matches for open positions.
  • Present qualified candidates to clients and maintain daily contact with all facilities to follow up on pending submissions, extensions, renewals, and new opportunities.
  • Communicate and negotiate contract terms with internal and external clients and relay details clearly to the recruiting team.
  • Build strong, professional working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance based on industry trends and business goals.
  • Meet and maintain minimum requirements for outbound calls, provider presentations, and new contracts.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients, preferably on-site.
  • Travel to visit clients face-to-face as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with the ability to fulfill essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in full-cycle inside or outside sales, sourcing, qualifying, networking, and relationship building, preferably in a locums healthcare staffing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective phone presentation, and strong customer service abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across all aspects of the business to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and general database knowledge.
  • Robust sense of urgency and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written, verbal, and phone conversation skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, healthcare, or related disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
