About the role

The Account Executives at Workday are key players in the Field Sales Operations organization. They are the fuel for Workday's new customer growth, guiding new customers on a journey that can see them leave the limitations of legacy platforms behind and move forward with a new class of enterprise management cloud.

This fantastic team of hardworking professionals plays a key role in partnering with customers to craft relevant solutions that deliver long-lasting value. They aim to ensure that customers are positively satisfied from day one and forever ongoing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in assigned territory
  • Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with pre-sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment
  • Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within Large Enterprise prospects and share Workday value proposition
  • Be responsible for developing relationships with net new customers with a focus on deal management and connecting customers with Workday solutions, particularly core financials
  • Negotiate deals with a variety of C-Suite Executives to close opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud based ERP / HCM / Financial / Planning / or Analytics solutions to C-levels from a field sales position
  • 5+ years experience collaborating with internal teams (pre-sales, value, inside sales) to achieve quota and run multiple deals at once
  • 5+ years experience with managing longer deal cycles, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities
  • Proven experience understanding the strategic competitive landscape of the industry by staying up to date with trends and customer needs so you can effectively position Workday solutions within accounts
  • Able to quickly establish trust with key stakeholders
  • Prior experience with partnering with internal team members on account strategies for short and long term prospecting and territory management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

Pay

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

Base Pay Range: $134,200 USD - $201,300 USD

Schedule
