Account Executive - Landscape/Snow Removal
About the Role
Account Executives (AE) focus on new business development, building and servicing portfolios of clients in assigned geographic markets and customer sales verticals. Once a new service agreement or project sale is closed, the operations team handles fulfillment while the AE maintains the customer relationship, ensuring customer satisfaction and managing all renewals of service agreements. The AE works closely with the Director of Operations (DOO) and Director of Business Development (DBD) to pursue business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide general account management to assigned customer accounts, including sales presentations, customer service, and contract renewals.
- Actively market and perform cold calls to generate interest in service lines.
- Network and diligently seek and follow up on earned referrals.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive sales plan.
- Establish sales goals for existing contract clients and non-contract clients on an individual basis.
- Promote the brand and brand messaging on social media platforms.
- Review service contracts yearly with the DOO to determine necessary price increases.
- Ensure all company policies and systems are fully utilized.
- Present proposals to clients or prospective clients.
- Organize and participate in local trade show events and represent the company in local trade associations.
- Track all activity in the CRM module of the OMNIA Service Delivery System.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager or Project Manager to create estimates for projects.
- Create estimates in OMNIA once fully trained in ECF estimating standards and procedures.
- Obtain approval for estimates and convert them to proposals for delivery.
- Manage customer satisfaction and general account management at a high level.
- Serve as the primary or secondary contact for assigned client accounts.
- Liaise between clients and operations, accounting, and senior management.
- Follow up on all requests in a timely manner.
- Entertain clients following established professional guidelines.
- Maintain a log of client contact in the Omnia Service Delivery System.
- Oversee client surveys and professionally respond to feedback.
- Participate in local client-driven activities such as board meetings, meet & greets, and lunch & learns.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to provide sales forecasting, budgets, and actual vs. budget reports.
- Manage accounts receivables that cannot be collected through traditional accounting methods for assigned client accounts.
- Work with the operations team to audit job productivity performance using the OMNIA Service Delivery System.
- Analyze budget vs. actual performance to determine price increases and verify acceptable profit margins.
- Report any quality control issues to the DOO for assigned accounts.
Image Policy
The employee will maintain a professional appearance that meets company standards, including wearing professionally branded business attire that is clean, pressed, and orderly. Proper grooming is required, including being clean-shaven or having a neatly trimmed beard (if male). Visible tattoos on the face, neck, or hands are prohibited, as are non-traditional piercings or hairstyles.

While performing duties, employees are required to use written and oral communication skills, read and interpret data, information, and documents, observe and respond to people and situations, learn and apply new information or skills, and work under deadlines. Proficiency in English is required.
Physical Demands
The employee frequently stands, walks, and sits, and occasionally uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms; climbs or balances; and stoops, kneels, or crouches. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel & Development
Travel throughout the assigned market is required, as well as routine travel to HQ for various training initiatives.
Security
The employee may not use illicit drugs during employment. ECF operates in high-security environments requiring individuals who can pass security background checks. The employee must pass security background checks that meet underwriting standards and maintain a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets underwriting criteria. The company reserves the right to reject applicants or terminate employees whose criminal or driving records fail to meet these standards.
