Account Executive - Inside Sales
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Builds and maintains customer relationships by actively listening to understand the organizational business objectives and goals.
- Sets up and maintains regular communication with customers to keep them informed about relevant industry trends related to their IT management needs.
- Manages key account selling opportunities, including responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs), conducting competitive research, and understanding Flexential’s product offerings.
- Collaborates with the Customer Success team to assist in resolving customer issues that may hinder their experience.
- Meets or exceeds monthly bookings/signings quotas for the assigned book of business by adhering to a defined sales process.
- Tracks and manages customer activity and forecasts using Salesforce.com.
- Conducts analyses such as customer needs analysis, service gap analysis, and compliance assessments.
- Manages key activity metrics, including outbound calls, proactive emails, scheduled meetings, and inbound lead follow-ups for assigned accounts.
- Maintains reports on lead generation activity and other quantifiable sales and marketing objective measurements.
- Manages both internal and external relationships.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years sales experience in technology sales.
- Excellent phone and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to work with a team.
- Self-starter with decision-making skills, able to think in broad terms and consider the impact on the entire organization.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Salesforce.com, Discover.org, a plus.
- Experience with or willingness to learn more about colocation, cloud, and other product offerings.
- Able to demonstrate and maintain sales processes.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, positive, fast-paced team environment.
- Able to partner, influence, and negotiate effectively.
- Possesses general business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
Base Pay Range
The hourly range offered for this position is estimated to be $28.00 - $31.00 per hour. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
Variable Pay
This role is eligible for commission. The expected annual commission target is $25,200 based on achievement of targets and other performance indicators.
