About the role
Discovery Education is seeking an Account Executive - Inside Sales to sell its award-winning online educational products and services. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of telesales experience, a strong passion for educational technology, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create and deepen relationships with key decision-makers within your territory.
- Understand and match district/school needs to Discovery Education’s suite of online educational products and services.
- Present products and solutions via online conference calls as needed.
- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of local markets, including demographics, education trends, and funding.
- Share insights on Discovery Education’s goals and strategic vision with customers.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Efficiently implement pre and post-sales processes, ensuring a smooth transition and training of Discovery Education products and services.
- Participate in marketing campaigns and targeted acquisition strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and current events impacting the business.
- Communicate effectively with customers about topics affecting education.
- Use Discovery Education’s free events, resources, and community opportunities as prospecting touchpoints and value-adds.
Requirements
- A strong passion for the power of educational technology.
- 2-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of telesales and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in selling complex products in a consultative manner via phone.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience.
- Education industry experience, either public or private.
- Ambitious, dedicated, and passionate individual with a strong desire to achieve.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer focus skills.
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as a team and in a fast-paced environment.
- A “can do” attitude to everyday challenges, motivated and target-driven.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications

Pay
$57,500 - $62,000 annually, with a variable target.
Schedule
Hybrid work schedule based in Charlotte HQs.
