About the role

Manage and grow an assigned book of existing customers through wallet share expansion and relationship development.

Execute account plans focused on customer retention, service excellence, and incremental growth.

Conduct regular customer visits, job-site meetings, and check-ins to understand customer needs and support ongoing projects.

Partner closely with branch operations, inside sales, and customer support teams to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer experience.

Collaborate with hunter-style Outside Sales Representatives to support the transition of newly acquired customers into managed accounts.

Participate in joint customer calls and onboarding meetings to ensure a smooth handoff and strong customer experience.

Identify selective new business opportunities through referrals, white space, and customer relationships.

Align customers with manufacturer partners and vendor resources to support product education and project needs.

Negotiate pricing and terms within established company guidelines and approval frameworks.

Utilize CRM and sales tools to manage customer activity, pipeline visibility, and account documentation.

Maintain working knowledge of products, programs, and market dynamics.

Travel regularly within the assigned territory to support customer relationships.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in outside sales, account management, inside sales, or customer-facing roles.
  • Experience in building materials, construction, wholesale distribution, or a related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and support account growth.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, sales technology, and data to manage activity and accounts.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $46,000.00 - USD $79,350.00 /Yr.

Schedule

Regular travel within the assigned territory to support customer relationships.
