About the role

The Account Executive role at CoStar Group is a consultative sales position aimed at selling new business opportunities and managing and growing a client portfolio. The role requires a proven track record of success in B2B outside sales, particularly in the commercial real estate industry.

Responsibilities

  • Sell New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by promoting the value of CoStar’s products to the commercial real estate industry.
  • Account Management: Manage and expand the client portfolio, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and growth with tailored solutions.
  • End-to-End Sales Process: Lead the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, onboarding, training, and renewing clients.
  • Building Relationships: Conduct in-person meetings and deliver product demos to brokers, owners, corporations, investors, and other commercial real estate professionals.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent CoStar at industry events and cultivate long-term relationships and a professional network.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in client management and post-sale.
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
  • Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of successful outside sales experience in a B2B environment, a keen interest in the commercial real estate market, and a demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios and drive revenue growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data, research, and analytic platforms or tools, commercial real estate, financial services, business intelligence, marketing, information providers, or related experience.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and market knowledge.

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000, based on relevant skills and experience, with an uncapped/generous commission plan and generous benefits.
