The Account Executive promotes the Security Solutions business unit, generating leads and turning those leads into sales success for new and existing buildings. This individual will estimate, quote, negotiate, and sell Security Solution upgrades, new systems and retrofits in a timely, profitable, and responsive manner for new and already established customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Under supervision, manage and grow assigned territory or group of accounts consisting of building owners, end-users, and property managers.
- Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
- Effectively perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
- Work with operations, finance, legal, and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.
- Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion.
- Ensure a smooth sales-to-operations turnover and monitor progress.
- Absorb and resolve installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.
- Absorb and assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommend suitable resolutions accordingly.
- Utilize sale software for sales activity reports, forecast reports, and expense tracking.
- Participate in civic and professional organizations, and sales department meetings, workshops and seminars.
- Continue to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.
- Keep current on market business and product trends.
- Adhere to all LONG safety standards
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales-related work experience
- Related technical and financial knowledge
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
- Understanding of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures
- Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical plans and specifications
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including upper management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level of accountability and willingness to take responsibility
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of MS Office 365 programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in business or a similar field with 2-4 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic principles, electrical systems, monitored alarms and engineering, installation, management and construction procedures
- Certification in security systems or related fields (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP)
- Knowledge of local and national security regulations and standards
Physical Requirements
- Lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds or elevated platforms as needed
- Indoor Office and outdoor environment

- General construction sites
- Hazards: Inclement weather possible, Various risks typical of construction sites, Elevated surfaces including roofs
