Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships - The Citadel Athletics

Key Responsibilities

• Possess and utilize outbound sales activity to prospect, develop, and secure new corporate partnerships.
• Manage the entire sales process from discovery to contract execution, including proposal creation, presentation, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of corporate partners through effective communication and relationship management.
• Drive renewal and upsell efforts to enhance partner retention and revenue growth.
• Create and execute customized sponsorship opportunities that align with each partner's business objectives.
• Assist in the sponsorship activation and fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of contracted assets.
• Accurately maintain sales, partner, renewal, and fulfillment records within the CRM system.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Preferred internship or entry-level experience in sales, corporate partnership fulfillment and activation, sponsorship, partnership development, or marketing and fan engagement.
• Show comparable organizational skills to handle and implement multiple partnership elements efficiently.
• Display strong negotiation skills and the ability to close complex deals with various stakeholders.
• Show excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Show passion for sports and a deep understanding of the collegiate athletics landscape, though not required.
