Responsibilities
- Performing sales calls, including visiting customer and potential customer facilities, providing information and support, making sales presentations, calculating and quoting prices, taking orders, and closing transactions.
- Maintaining territory performance against established objectives and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Providing customer service, resolving issues within company policies, communicating customer needs to relevant departments, and offering product-specific feedback to product line managers, management, or customer service personnel.
- Developing and implementing sales objectives for the territory, staying informed about industry trends, and providing regular reports to management.
- Assisting in creating a territory coverage plan, analyzing region opportunities, and forecasting sales by customer and product.
- Managing business expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining company-owned equipment and vehicles.
- Performing other duties as required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-3 years of progressively responsible work experience and any combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- The ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's diverse business and product lines is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, gather, assemble, and analyze statistical and financial data, and interact with and track orders through the mohawkNet system.
- Ability to travel 75%-100% domestically, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs without lifting aids.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

- Business-minded, organized, high-energy, and self-starter with a proven track record of success in fast-paced and complex selling environments.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and achieve results through teamwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather, assemble, and analyze statistical and financial data.
- Experience interacting with and tracking orders through the mohawkNet system.
- Ability to travel frequently.
