About the role

This is a full-time, in-person inside sales role based at our Boise office. The Account Executive will promote and sell Truckstop.com products and services to customers in our carrier persona, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant while up-selling and cross-selling to the existing customer base. All customer interactions are performed via phone and email.

Essential job functions

  • Engage with existing Truckstop.com customers to cross-sell additional products and services
  • Consult with customers to gather information and make product recommendations for their business
  • Meet sales objectives by selling Truckstop.com products and services
  • Use various computer systems/screens simultaneously to process sales
  • Build and maintain strong customer rapport; consult, multi-task, and problem solve with the customer
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline, accurately forecast opportunity outcomes
  • Close sales opportunities at a high rate
  • Manager will provide support as needed; weekly discussion to provide sales summary
  • Ability to become well-informed about the industry and Truckstop.com's products and services

Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • Experience in carrying and attaining a sales quota
  • Background in shipping and logistics, preferred
  • Minimum three years' experience in software sales, including experience in presenting a sales demonstration to a client, especially via phone, preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English, preferred

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, including to both executive and technical audiences
  • Proficient in using multiple software applications simultaneously

Physical demands

  • Minimum physical exertion; frequently required to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls
  • Position requires mobility
  • Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis
  • Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse

Work environment

The working conditions will vary between an office environment and a remote home environment. The ideal protected indoor work environment is a clean, non-hazardous work area. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office or remote home environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
