Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for select major accounts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and end users
- Maintain understanding of key purchasing contracts and customer standards
- Provide educational and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and loyalty
- Develop creative furniture solutions that meet project needs and customer objectives
- Attend customer meetings to present furniture concepts, space plans, and finish selections for approval
- Host live design sessions to engage the client by taking their immediate feedback to refine solutions
- Produce technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and CET, including block plans, working drawings, and as-builts
- Conduct site reviews, field measurements, and programming interviews with end users
- Validate plans against construction and A&D drawing sets
- Develop product specifications, manage revisions, and maintain project documentation
- Cook up with project managers, installation crews, and contractors to ensure successful execution
- Conduct walkthroughs and ensure final punch items are resolved
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Manage CRM and project records according to company protocol
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, general computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word, experience with CET is preferred, but not required, ability to learn different as well as new and emerging technologies, experience with Hedberg is a plus
- Design & Product Knowledge: Solid knowledge of best practices for furniture design and space planning, strong furniture product knowledge with ability to learn and apply new products quickly
- Professional Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong customer service focus and sales aptitude, highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving ability and follow-through, ability to work independently or as a part of a team, multi-task, and prioritize under pressure
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Or equivalent related field experience
- Experience: 2+ years in furniture/office/space planning (dealership or manufacturer experience preferred)
- Physical Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, ability to walk moderate distances, climb stairs, and navigate unfinished building environments during site visits

Pay Range
$45,000 - $65,000 per hour
