Account Executive

About the role

WKTV/NBC is seeking an Account Executive to join their team in Utica, NY. As a powerhouse TV station, WKTV/NBC offers extensive local news coverage, strong syndication, and NBC prime programming. They also have a growing CBS station and a comprehensive suite of digital products to sell.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the account list; RFPs, meetings, retention and growth.
• Closely manage Local Direct Business each month.
• Build relationships with agencies and advertisers.
• Closely manage Local New Business each month.
• Grow the digital conversion of Media content.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years Broadcast sales experience.
• Experience calling on local and regional advertising agencies.
• Understanding of the nuances of negotiating agency business.
• Track record of success in Local Direct Business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word.
• Experience with OSI, Ad Connections, Strata is a plus.
• Motivated and driven by performance-based commission.

Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
