TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) is seeking a Total TV Seller (multi-screen) to join the elite sales team at WBIR, a TEGNA NBC powerhouse in Knoxville, TN. The position is ideal for a driven, high-octane seller with a passion for developing new businesses and representing comprehensive broadcast and digital products.

What You Will Do

  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns.
  • Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
  • Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses.

What You Need

  • 1 to 3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller.
  • Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive, and be a perpetual learner, eager to continuously expand your knowledge.
  • Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems, and ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors, and to write/edit compelling proposals.
  • Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic that are essential attributes to being successful.
