Account Executive
About the role
At WTLV WJXX-TV, a TEGNA-owned ABC/NBC affiliate in Jacksonville, we are seeking an Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment and a proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
- Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WTLV WJXX-TV offerings.
- Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
- Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
- Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns.
- Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
- Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses.
Requirements
- Current driver's license is required.
- 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
- Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller.
- Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive, and be a perpetual learner, eager to continuously expand your knowledge.
- Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems, and ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors, and to write/edit compelling proposals.
- Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills.
