About the role
The Account Executive will own and grow the US market for Ocean, a data intelligence company. They will build and manage a pipeline, run complex deals, and close enterprise-level business with VP-level and C-suite buyers.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, targeting 60 to 180+ day enterprise deals
- Build and maintain a pipeline with 3-5x coverage, including a strong self-sourced component
- Run structured, multi-threaded deals across marketing, RevOps, and sales leadership
- Deliver tailored demos and business cases connecting our product to real revenue outcomes
- Forecast accurately and call your number
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of SaaS sales experience with a track record of quota attainment (80–100%)
- Experience selling into the MarTech or SalesTech ecosystem - data providers, CRM, RevOps tools, lead routing, GTM intelligence
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Command of the Message, or similar)
- Comfort selling to VP Marketing, VP Sales, CRO, CMO, and RevOps leaders
Qualifications
- Genuinely understand the MarTech and SalesTech landscape - not just as a product category, but as a system
- Know how the tools connect, where they break down, and how to position Ocean as the intelligence layer that makes everything else work better
Skills
- Built your own pipeline, not relying on inbound
- Think in outcomes, not features - connect our product to pipeline, conversion, and revenue efficiency
- Genuinely curious about data, buyer psychology, and the evolving GTM landscape
- Thrives in fast-moving categories and sees change as an opportunity, not a threat
- Understand data concepts: ICP modeling, enrichment, signal-based selling, attribution
- Can speak intelligently to how tools integrate - CRM, marketing automation, data platforms
- Know why legacy tools fail and can articulate what "better" actually looks like for a buyer
