Account Executive

About the role

The Vacaville Reporter (a proud subsidiary of MediaNews Group) is seeking dynamic sales professionals to transition their skills into B2B Multimedia Advertising. Ideal candidates should have a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and a passion for building relationships with local businesses.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with regional business owners to understand their advertising needs and introduce them to our digital and print solutions.
• Conduct needs analyses, handle objections, and design custom marketing strategies that fit clients' budgets.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts, keep track of sales metrics, and assist clients in scaling their advertising efforts.
• Travel within your assigned local territory to meet business owners face-to-face.

Requirements

• The "Hunter" Mentality: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable making cold calls.
• Sales DNA: Proven track record of hitting quotas or driving revenue in various industries.
• Top-tier communication skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Structure & Drive: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple client priorities.

Qualifications

• Digital marketing or advertising experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits & Compensation

• Hourly range: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour + cell phone stipend.
• Commission-based compensation (OTE $50,000-$60,000+).

• Pay is based on several factors including geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.
• Shifts may vary, requiring availability for daytime and evening hours.
