Account Executive
About the role

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of digital marketing and one of the most trusted media networks in the country—helping businesses connect with customers across the full marketing funnel. You’ll partner with clients to understand their goals, build strategies that combine performance-driven digital solutions with the reach of the USA TODAY Network, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build a consistent prospecting cadence using cold calls, email, social outreach, networking, and in-person or virtual meetings to develop a strong pipeline.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and identify business growth opportunities.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and business goals.
- Partner with experienced team members to develop and present marketing recommendations.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and develop strong pipeline management habits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support positive client experiences.
- Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and professional development.
- Stay engaged post-sale through reporting, optimization, and performance conversations that support renewals and continued growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a sales career.
- Comfortable speaking with new people and building professional relationships.
- Organized with strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems.
- Interest in digital marketing, advertising, or business growth solutions.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
