Job Overview
The Account Executive is responsible for managing and directing the front-line relationship with clients, including, but not limited to, key decision-makers, HR leadership, Brokers, and C-level partners, and internal staff delivering the total health benefits administration solution. They are responsible for managing the relationship, performing analysis and assessment of the benefit plan, recommending strategies, assuring superior service levels and plan effectiveness, the overall retention of the business, and upsell FBG products where appropriate.
Deliver Servicer
- Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours, acknowledging and building expectations for resolution; deliver on commitments.
- Create and maintain a proactive interaction with clients, brokers, business partners, and vendors adequately to identify and address problems and issues expeditiously.
- Communicate and assure client compliance with federally mandated requirements.
Espirit de Corps
- Evaluate client needs and lead cross-functional teams to design, plan, configure, and implement products and services on a timely basis - Renewals, New Client implementation.
- Assist leadership team in guiding and mentoring Account Managers and Account Management Associates.
Bring Gusto
- Analyze and evaluate client's plan performance and seek opportunities to upsell/cross-sell FBG products and services while improving the overall service experience to clients and their members.
- Work as a responsible team member supporting projects relating to problem resolution, research, implementations, enrollments, and renewals.
Own It
- Schedule and lead client "delivery centered meetings," communicating progress in gathering required data, research, and supporting analysis, including preparing and distributing helpful documents to guide the discussion.
- Build and maintain an effective feedback infrastructure to gather critical intelligence on client satisfaction from all sources related to the client's total product/service experience, including brokers, consultants, vendors, partners, stop-loss carriers, etc., to assure maximum opportunity to retain the business and related revenues.

- Ability to work independently/autonomously and proactively as well as collaboratively as a senior member of the account management team.
- Analysis - ability to identify problems/issues and propose high-performing solutions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience.
- Five to ten years of experience in Health plan and/or payroll-cycle benefit plan administration.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the group health insurance industry for fully-insured and self-funded plans and Healthcare Reform.
- Experienced in dealing with clients and brokers.
- Have the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and simultaneously and maintain deadlines.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated proficiency in all MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Additional Details
- Business Travel: Travel is less than 25%.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs.
