About the role
The Account Executive role is a key member of the company's Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service team. This position is responsible for generating new and existing business accounts for CoreSite. Key responsibilities include pursuing opportunities through marketing, managing existing accounts, conducting tours and presentations, and negotiating business terms.
Responsibilities
- Pursue opportunities created by CoreSite marketing as well as opportunities uncovered via your own network and prospecting activities.
- Conduct tours and deliver presentations at your local data center, with support from local Sales and Operations leadership.
- Identify, develop, and expand opportunities within accounts located in your data center’s regional market.
- Manage existing customer accounts for renewal and expansion business.
- Prepare presentations and tours with prospective customers.
- Develop and cultivate relevant partner contacts to foster opportunity pipeline.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for new business through web leads.
- Negotiate business and legal terms with potential customers and prospects according to Company guidelines.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of lease/license documents prior to delivery to potential customers or prospects.
- Report activities and opportunities to the Company on a regular basis.
- Oversee transition of finalized transactions to Sales Support.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, minimum of 8 years outside sales experience, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with occasional on-site presence and travel are required. Flexibility to travel up to 10% and demonstrate intellectual curiosity and strong consultative selling capabilities are also essential.
