About the Role
As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth by securing new business across Office Coffee Service, Food Service, and Convenience Store channels within a defined territory. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and convert new sales opportunities, helping to expand Community Coffee's presence in the market. This role is ideal for an initiative-taking, self-motivated sales professional who excels at building strong customer relationships and delivering tailored solutions that reflect the values of the Community Coffee brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation and initial contact to proposal delivery and contract negotiation.
- Identify and qualify prospects using business directories, trade associations, referrals, and other resources.
- Engage potential customers through cold calls, phone outreach, and scheduled appointments.
- Travel within your assigned territory and conduct in-person visits.
- Conduct customer needs assessments to understand business goals and recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Present offerings through compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and customized sales proposals.
- Work closely with internal departments—such as Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain—to support promotions, pricing strategies, new product rollouts, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate new customer setup and ensure a smooth transition to the ongoing route service.
- Accurately document activity and maintain pipeline updates in the company's CRM system.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, customer events, and local business functions to build visibility and network.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive activity within your territory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support sales and business goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of outside sales experience, including cold calling and new business development.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to prepare proposals and reports independently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
