About the role
The Account Executive at ClarkDietrich is responsible for coordinating the entire order process from point of purchase through shipment. They work closely with the customer base, territory manager, and sales manager to communicate lead times, quotes, and market information.
Responsibilities
- Works with the sales manager to meet or exceed company metrics.
- Prospects dormant accounts and new locations.
- Engages with customers through CRM systems.
- Manages production cycles from order entry to shipment.
- Communicates with all facets of the team including territory managers, sales manager, operations, traffic, and credit.
- Coordinates logistics of customer shipments including routing, stops, etc.
- Acts as the main contact for all customer inquiries during the order process.
- Enters quotes for customers and communicates with the sales manager on quote management.
- Tracks and provides follow-up on quotes and price agreements.
- Creates a call rotation for the customer base and logs key situations and conversations in the CRM program.
- Attends daily and weekly sales meetings and presentations.
- Provides account coverage when necessary.
- Learns ClarkDietrich products and services through provided training and individual research.
- Participates in Account Reviews for assigned markets.
- Maintains and updates customer contact information.
- Resolves sales adjustments, coordinates returns/pick-ups, and logs necessary incidents using the CRM system.
- Performs limited travel to assigned territory.
Requirements
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

- Able to work in a team environment.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong interest in continuous improvement.
- Ability to work with offsite locations to resolve problems.
- Strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.
