About the role

We're seeking Account Executives to join our team. You'll build strong partnerships with higher education institutions, engage in problem-solving, and add value to your relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of the higher education procurement process and institutional initiatives.
  • Operate as the CEO of your territory, pursuing opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
  • Create long-lasting, trusted relationships with prospects and position Civitas Learning as a strategic partner.
  • Quarterback teams both externally with customers and internally with cross-functional groups.
  • Build and manage an effective pipeline, communicating proactively with leadership throughout the sales process.
  • Gain commitment, work diligently with speed, efficiency, and precision, and participate in team-building and training.
  • Collaborate with the customer development team to ensure a smooth handoff of partnership opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with bonus points for previous closing experience and education technology background.
  • The ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of success in previous sales roles.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Experience using Outreach, Salesforce, and other sales tools is a bonus.

  • The ability to understand the bigger picture and put oneself in the shoes of college and university decision-makers.

Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and engage in collaborative problem-solving.
  • Understanding of higher education procurement processes and institutional initiatives.
  • Experience in enterprise software sales, particularly in education technology.

Benefits

Commensurate with experience.

Pay

$100,000 - $200,000 USD
