About the role
We're seeking Account Executives to join our team. You'll build strong partnerships with higher education institutions, engage in problem-solving, and add value to your relationships.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of the higher education procurement process and institutional initiatives.
- Operate as the CEO of your territory, pursuing opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
- Create long-lasting, trusted relationships with prospects and position Civitas Learning as a strategic partner.
- Quarterback teams both externally with customers and internally with cross-functional groups.
- Build and manage an effective pipeline, communicating proactively with leadership throughout the sales process.
- Gain commitment, work diligently with speed, efficiency, and precision, and participate in team-building and training.
- Collaborate with the customer development team to ensure a smooth handoff of partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with bonus points for previous closing experience and education technology background.
- The ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders.
- A proven track record of success in previous sales roles.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience using Outreach, Salesforce, and other sales tools is a bonus.

- The ability to understand the bigger picture and put oneself in the shoes of college and university decision-makers.
Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Experience in enterprise software sales, particularly in education technology.
