About the role

The Account Executive will develop relationships with marketing, communications, brand, and talent leaders across biotech and pharma, driving new business through proactive outreach and strategic prospecting. They will expand accounts by increasing brand visibility and thought leadership presence, selling integrated solutions across digital advertising, sponsored content, podcasts, and events. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong presentation and storytelling abilities, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with marketing, communications, brand, and talent leaders across biotech and pharma
  • Drive new business through proactive outreach and strategic prospecting
  • Expand accounts by increasing brand visibility and thought leadership presence
  • Sell integrated solutions across digital advertising, sponsored content, podcasts, and events
  • Deliver consultative, insight-driven recommendations aligned to client objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and execute impactful campaigns
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets
  • Manage pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce
  • Represent BioSpace as a trusted media and thought leadership partner

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience with 2+ years selling digital advertising, media, or content marketing solutions
  • Strong track record in business development or account growth
  • Ability to engage senior-level marketing and communications leaders
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or related field
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay

Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The role is full-time, with a hybrid schedule (West Des Moines, IA) | In-office Monday–Wednesday; remote Thursday–Friday.
