Account Executive
About the role
Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualification, discovery, demos, pilots, negotiation, and close. Build and manage a healthy pipeline across SMB, mid-market, and or enterprise accounts. Execute outbound prospecting sequences to generate new opportunities. Lead discovery conversations to deeply understand customer pain points and align Baselayer’s solutions. Run high-quality product demos and manage customer trials or pilots. Partner closely with Product and Engineering to share customer feedback and influence roadmap decisions. Collaborate with GTM leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and sales motions. Represent Baselayer with professionalism, credibility, and thought leadership in the market.
Minimum requirements
- 2 to 4 or more years of experience in SaaS sales, fintech, financial services, or a highly analytical GTM role
- A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience running complex, consultative sales cycles with technical or analytical buyers
- Strong discovery, storytelling, and objection-handling skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments
- A proactive, self-directed mindset where you create momentum rather than wait for direction

Work location
Based in NY; Hybrid - 4 days a week in office.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $170,000 + Equity
- Variable Compensation: Commissions
