Account Executive
About the role
We are looking for a high-ownership Account Executive to own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through contract signature—for mid-market and enterprise e-commerce brands. You will be Alhena’s frontline storyteller, translating a genuinely differentiated product into revenue.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract signature for accounts in the $50K–$500K ACV range
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of mid-market and enterprise DTC, e-commerce brands through outbound, partner channels, and inbound qualification
- Run discovery calls, product demos, and executive business reviews that connect Alhena’s capabilities to each prospect’s revenue and CX goals
- Develop commercial proposals, navigate legal, procurement, and close multi-stakeholder deals involving CX, e-commerce, and marketing leaders
- Collaborate with the founders and product team to feed customer insights back into roadmap and positioning
- Partner with Customer Success on handoffs to ensure a smooth live-to-value ramp for new accounts
- Contribute to building the sales playbook, ICP refinement, talk tracks, objection handling, competitive positioning
- Track pipeline and forecast accurately in CRM; bring discipline to deal hygiene without being asked
Requirements
3–7 years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota
Experience selling into e-commerce, retail, or DTC brands—understanding the language of AOV, CSAT, conversion rate, and ticket deflection
Comfortable selling AI, automation, or CX software to both technical and business stakeholders
Strong discovery instincts—asking questions before pitching, and connecting product capabilities to business outcomes without relying on feature lists
Comfortable working in early-stage environments where the playbook is still being written and ambiguity is a feature, not a bug
Excellent written and verbal communicator—your emails get replies and your demos move deals forward
High personal accountability; owning your number and your pipeline without waiting for direction
Bonus points: Experience at a Series A–C AI, ML, or conversational commerce startup, familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem, headless commerce, or CDP, CX tech stacks, prior experience building a sales function from scratch alongside a founding team, network in the DTC, e-commerce brand space (beauty, wellness, home, fashion)
